Wildfires in the Gironde region of France have burned 19,300 hectares and forced the evacuation of 35,000 people as of July 19, according to local authorities.
In addition to the fires at Landiras and La Teste-de-Buch, a third fire broke in Vensac and has covered 70 hectares according to the officials in Gironde.
Footage released by the Gironde Fire Department on July 19 shows firefighters battling the blaze and a long line of fire trucks ready to join the fight.
