Wildfire in Western Spain Forces Evacuation of Town

Residents of the small town of Monsagro, in western Spain, were evacuated on July 12 due to a wildfire that has burned approximately 4,000 hectares, or 15 square miles.

Local media reported that buses were chartered to evacuate the town’s 400 residents.
