Wildfire Burns Thousands of Acres in Southwest France

A wildfire in southwest France spread a further 740 acres on Tuesday night into Wednesday, September 14, after burning more than 7,900 acres since igniting on Monday.

Footage released by the local fire service on Tuesday showed the blaze, which was burning in a forest in Saumos, in the Gironde department, according to officials.
