Wildfire Burns Homes in Athens Suburb
Up to 10 homes were destroyed by wildfire on the outskirts of Athens, Greece, by Wednesday, July 20, an official told local media.
This footage filmed by video journalist Savvas Karmaniolas shows the wildfire surrounding and burning houses in Drafi, near the village of Penteli.
Greek emergency services advised residents of Drafi to evacuate on Tuesday. Active fire fronts were affecting multiple suburbs of the capital on Wednesday, according to Athens News Agency.
