Widespread Power Outages as Storm Nicholas Hits Texas

Hurricane Nicholas made landfall in Texas early on September 14, bringing with it sustained winds of 75 mph before being downgraded to a tropical storm.

This footage, posted by Twitter user @Radi_WX, shows the power going in Mission Bend after the source said transformers failed in the storm.

The National Weather Service warned the weather system could cause “life-threatening flash floods across the deep south".
