Now that Mother’s Day is a memory of the past, it’s time to shift our attention to the next family holiday. When is Father’s Day? This year it falls on Sunday, June 20, 2021, and, we don’t know about you, but we think the holiday is the perfect excuse to skip the take-out and get hands-on with a little home cooking. Of course, you’ll need to stock up on groceries to get the job underway. While there are plenty of local grocery stores where you can pick up necessities, none are quite at as healthily stocked as Whole Foods.

The multinational supermarket is a one-stop-shop for all of your Father’s Day cooking needs. Planning to whip up an entire Father’s Day brunch (or an early morning breakfast) to celebrate the dads, step-dads, and grand-dads in your life? Whole Foods has everything you could possibly need to bring it to life. No time to bake pastries from scratch? Whole Foods’ bakery is unmatched. Hoping to hop out of your house to enjoy some wholesome Father’s Day activities? Whole Foods has plenty of pre-made bistro foods that are great for a picnic-style celebration. And, let’s not forget, if the dad you're celebrating loves to cook, you can never go wrong with picking up a Whole Foods gift card while you’re there.

But wait a second, shouldn’t you be asking yourself one very important question?

Is Whole Foods Open on Father’s Day in 2021?

As much of an impact as dads, step-dads, and grand-dads have on our lives, Whole Foods—like many retailers—doesn't consider Father’s Day to be a national holiday worth shutting their doors for. While some people might object to that, we’re rather grateful their store is open for last-minute shopping on the special day. After all, if you need a few extra ingredients or forgot to get a card, Whole Foods is there to help. Most stores are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, but some stores are still operating under more limited hours to focus on delivery orders due to the pandemic, so it never hurts to check your local store before heading over. And while their current Covid policy allows vaccinated shoppers to go mask-free in many locations, you may still be asked to wear a mask based on local ordinances. So you may want to grab one just in case.
