White House holds press briefing: Watch live

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will deliver a daily press briefing Tuesday afternoon.

President Biden continues to push for the House to follow the Senate’s lead in passing a joint border security and foreign aid package. On Monday, the White House strongly objected to a standalone House bill on funding for Israel slated for consideration this week, describing it as a “cynical political maneuver” that reduced Israel’s security to “a political game.”

The briefing is expected to begin at 2 p.m. EST.
