The Pelt of Ralva is a new helm only available in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Though it’s technically part of the Iron Rivet set, it is found in an entirely different location than the remainder of the armor. This sets itself apart from other helms in the game by being made of a bear pelt, giving your character a distinct, primal warrior look.

Here’s what you need to know about the Pelt of Ralva and where to find it.

Pelt of Ralva stats and features

The Pelt of Ralva has a weight of 3.6 and provides decent protection and resistances. While its stats aren’t as good as heavier armor pieces, it makes for a solid (and cool-looking) headpiece for those looking to balance their gear out for light or medium rolling. Additionally, it enhances Bear Communion incantations by 15%.

Pelt of Ralva item description

The Pelt of Ralva’s item description reads:

“The pelt of Ralva the Great Red Bear, worn upon the head without modification.

Enhances incantations of what is jokingly called ‘Bear Communion.’

This untreated hide, won at the end of a bloody bout, is just the thing to make a wild bear out of a warrior.”

Where to find the Pelt of Ralva

You can find the Pelt of Ralva by defeating Ralva the Great Red Bear. This entirely optional boss can be found roaming around a lake in Scadu Altus.

From the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, head north until you’re nearing the encampment ahead, then head east through a forest area to the lake. Here, you’ll find Ralva the Great Red Bear wandering around, allowing you to engage it in battle.

Feel free to summon your preferred Spirit Ash for this battle if needed, but it’s not an overly challenging fight compared to many others. With some perseverance, you should be able to tackle this large bear, which will reward you with the Pelt of Ralva.
