'We've all known just one queen' -Britons reflect on death

London resident Sarah Kendrew also noted that the queen had remained a constant in many people's lives.

''I think people have complicated thoughts about monarchies and the royal family and empires and things like that, I think that's okay but she's like a really remarkable figure, she's been leader of this country for so many decades, longer than a lot of people have been alive," Kendrew said.
