'Wellbeing Dog' Lends a Paw at Royal Hospital London

A Metropolitan Police Service “wellbeing dog” gave Royal London Hospital staff a much-deserved break last week, recently released video shows.

Police Dog Dexter, as well as three other officers, visited the RLH on January 26 and January 27 with treats and a thank-you book from police.

RLH currently has more than 300 patients with coronavirus, police said.

PD Dexter’s handler, PC Sheather, regularly takes the two-year-old Labrador to visit officers from different sections of the Metropolitan Police Service, “giving them the opportunity to pause with PD Dexter and take stock of what can be a stressful job,” police said.
