Weather Official Makes Snow Angel After Record Snow in Central Nebraska

A weather forecaster in central Nebraska embraced the wintry weather in the region on Wednesday, January 18, after record-breaking snowfall.

Footage posted to Twitter by the National Weather Service (NWS) in North Platte shows an employee making a snow angel in the record 13.9 inches of snow on Wednesday.

“Who says forecasters don’t enjoy a snow day themselves?” they said in the post.

Snowfall in the area was forecasted to end by mid-morning Thursday, with “quieter weather” expected in the coming days, the NWS said. Credit: NWS North Platte via Storyful
