Waves Send Spray Over Buildings in Mallorca as Storm Gloria Moves Toward France

Storm Gloria brought towering waves to the Balearic Islands on January 21, as it moved away from mainland Spain and traveled towards France.

This video, recorded in the town of Portocolom in Majorca, shows waves crashing against the shore, sending spray and debris high over buildings.

El Pais reported that at least four people died as a result of the storm, which brought serious destruction to communities along the coast of Valencia, especially in El Perello.
