Water Pours Over Coquihalla Highway Divider Following Mudslide in British Columbia

Heavy rain brought on by an atmospheric river caused mudslides and flooding along a number of highways in southern British Columbia on Sunday, November 14.

Environment Canada said on Sunday that “a significant atmospheric river event is bringing copious amounts of rain to the British Columbia south coast.”

Authorities warned that heavy rain and a mudslide were still impacting traffic in both directions on the highway east of Chilliwack by Monday.
