Flooding Inundates East Kentucky Town of Whitesburg

At least three people died after heavy rain triggered devastating flash floods in parts of eastern Kentucky on Thursday, July 28, officials said.

On Thursday morning, Gov Andy Beshear declared a State of Emergency and said he expected the death toll to rise.

The National Weather Service warned that more showers and thunderstorms were forecast through Friday, and flash flooding remained a threat.
