After a season spent thinking she might have another shot at late-night, decades after filming a pilot, and then losing that shot and eventually getting it again, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) — spoiler alert — finally lands her dream job...but will Ava (Hannah Einbinder) be able to join her for the ride?
