Watch Thai paragliders drop food to flood zones

A team of around seven to eight paramotorists working for the Charity of Phitsanulok Association made trips to Sukhothai province on Monday (September 27) and the weekend to help out local residents.

"The flood covers most areas of Sukhothai province. The situation is worse in comparison to past years," 38-year-old Vichai Tiyasan, who leads the team of volunteer paramotorists, told Reuters.

Vichai said he and his team will continue making trips to other affected areas across Sukhothai.

A paramotor is comprised of metal frame with a propeller driven by a petrol-fuelled motor, resembling a giant household fan. The device is attached to the back of the pilot, who is suspended by parachute.
