A new behind-the-scenes video of Meghan Markle has been shared, showing The Duchess celebrating her collaboration with British Vogue – which went on to become its fastest selling issue. Of all time. Ever. Initially she reached out to editor Edward Enninful to discuss how he could feature the charity Smart Works, which helps women to find job-appropriate clothing and employment opportunities, who Meghan has previously designed a collection with.
In the footage, it's clear that Meghan is over the moon with how the Forces For Change issue that she guest edited turned out, as she just can't stop smiling! She also whips out a selection of cheerful, celebratory hats and takes the time to call up all the inspirational cover stars personally, to thank them for their involvement.
Accompanying the video, shared on the official @SussexRoyal account, was a caption detailing how the magazine sold out in ten days, making it the best-selling issue for a decade:
Earlier today @edward_enninful, the Editor in Chief of @britishvogue shared: “#ForcesForChange, guest edited by The Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal, was our fastest-selling issue in the history of #BritishVogue (sold out in 10 days) and the biggest-selling issue of the past decade. I can't wait to see what 2020 has in store...”
To celebrate, we wanted to share this never before seen video behind the scenes with Edward and The Duchess of Sussex on the creation of this special issue. Please note, this was filmed last August in London.
Congratulations to all of those who took part in the 2019 September issue, and huge thanks to those who supported and helped make this a success!
Who knows, now that Meghan and her husband Prince Harry have stepped away from their senior royal duties and moved to Canada, perhaps a new career as an editor might be on the cards? We'd personally buy every single issue of Meghan Monthly.
