Watch live: Biden to deliver remarks after historic Amazon visit in Brazil

President Biden will deliver remarks on Sunday after meeting with Indigenous and other leaders in Manaus, Brazil, and becoming the first sitting United States president to visit the Amazon rainforest.

Biden is expected to announce that the U.S. has fulfilled its pledge to increase its international climate finance to more than $11 billion a year by 2024, according to a White House press release.

The president will also sign a proclamation designating Nov. 17 as “International Conservation Day” and announce new efforts to tackle the climate crisis.

The trip to Brazil comes a day after Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping met for the third and final time on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru.

Biden is expected to speak at 3 p.m. ET. Watch it above.
