Watch Kelly Ripa's frisky microphone malfunction during “Live” show: 'By my bosom'

"Thankfully I'm so loud we don't even need microphones," Ripa said after she fished the microphone out from her dress.

After Kelly Ripa expressed excitement over going to "second base" while being frisked by airport security, one of the microphones on Live With Kelly and Mark decided to do some traveling of its own.

Amid a Monday morning discussion about hosting her son's wrestling teammates for a meal at their home, Ripa's microphone unhinged itself from her dress and slipped down her garment.

"Oh, look at this. Look what I found. My microphone down here, by my bosom!" Ripa said as she attempted to fish the device from her clothing.

"That's where my bosom is, sir!" Ripa joked as she looked out to the audience while her husband and cohost, Mark Consuelos, offered assistance. "Do you need help with that?" he asked, noting to his spouse that he definitely saw the device resting on her collar at the start of the live show.

"I've got it. Sorry, let me start the show over. Welcome, everyone!" Ripa joked, recovering from the pause. "Thankfully I'm so loud we don't even need microphones!"

Though Ripa rebounded from the microphone moment in rapid time, Consuelos did not, however, use his previously expressed Terminator-like sense of sight to identify exactly where the mic slipped under the fabric of his wife's dress.
