Happy birthday, Warren Buffett. A roundup of gifts worthy of a billionaire

What do you get the man who could buy literally anything (but is notoriously thrifty)? Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett turns 91 on Monday. We’ve searched and found some birthday presents — one indulgent, and others affordable — that would be perfect for the Oracle of Omaha.

Buffett is well known for enjoying fast food from outlets like KFC and McDonald’s. For his birthday, we’d step it up a notch and give Mr. Buffett the most indulgent burger on the market. Crafted at the Fleur Restaurant at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, this luxe meal was imagined by chef Hubert Keller as a mix of Wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, traditional French fries and a brioche truffle bun. It’s paired with a bottle of 1995 Chateau Petrus (which, honestly, makes up most of the price). This birthday burger is priced at a whopping $5,000. We’re sure they’d even throw in a Coca-Cola, another minor vice that the billionaire loves.

Mr. Buffett reportedly plays bridge for at least eight hours a week. We found a leather-bound travel bridge set made by Cathian Leather Goods ($56, on Etsy) that would be just the portable thing for Buffett’s busy life, and also luxe enough to fit into a private-jet setting.

Speaking of owning planes, Buffett seems mildly embarrassed for having shelled out $6.7 million for his Bombardier Challenger 600 in 1989, as he’s dubbed it “The Indefensible” (since he thought there was no good reason to have a line item as pricey as the multimillion-dollar jet in his corporate expenses). We think an executive still working many hours at the age of 91 certainly deserves the convenience and comforts of his own plane — as well as some cool gifts to go in it.

We believe Warren Buffett would approve of this final gift: customized rocks glasses (available from Personalization Mall for $14.40 each) for the jet’s cabin. We’d have them engraved with the name The Indefensible. The glasses would make for good conversation fodder for guests on his jet, and could hold a relaxing libation for him if a business trip didn’t go quite as planned.
