Wang Xingyue's camp threatens legal action over false claims

5 Jul – Wang Xingyue's agency is threatening legal action against those who disseminate false accusations against the actor.

As reported on Oriental Daily, following the recent successes of the actor, with the latest being the series, "The Double", new rumours and allegations have begun to emerge on social media.

This include claims that he lied about his age, as his profile revealed that he is 22 years old this year. Netizens reportedly have found photos of him in 2017 at the age of 17, which should have made him 24 this year, they said.

Meanwhile, others accused Wang of hyping up CP, or intimate interaction with his leading ladies. He was criticised for acting chummy with his "The Double" co-star Wu Jinyan, and was even said to have done the same thing with other female co-stars in the past like Shen Yue or Kong Xueer.

In response to these various accusations, Wang's agency Huanyu Entertainment released a statement thanking the public for their attention towards the actor, but then added, "Rumours have been spread on the internet about Wang Xingyue and we would like to ask the person who posted the relevant rumours to delete them."

"Our company will gather evidence of rights infringement and will take all necessary legal action to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Mr Wang."
