Wang Xiaofei's hotel in Taiwan closes down?

27 Aug - Despite the previous rebrand, it was reported that Wang Xiaofei's hotel in Taiwan has closed its doors.

As reported on Sohu, the hotel, which was previously named S Hotel after Wang's ex-wife Barbie Hsu (also nicknamed Da S), has released a notice of closure on 21 August and began cancelling room reservations on 22 August.

On 25 August, Taiwanese media reported that the hotel had conducted a clearance sale of hotel items with very low prices, attracting many people to line up at the entrance early in the morning to grab the goods.

Among items that were sold included its enlarged doubled beds (priced at only NTD 3,500), comfortable sofas (NTD 2,000), and even 42-inch TVs for only NTD 2,000.

It is noted that Wang opened the said hotel in 2018, and was renamed to MGallery (after new wife Mandy Ma) in March this year.

However, the rebranding didn't seem to attract more people to come, as it was reported that the hotel lost NTD 60 million in just half a year.
