Wang Xiaofei slams Barbie Hsu: I don't want to pay that family's electric bills!

22 Nov – Wang Xiaofei recently went on a Weibo rant, after it was reported that ex-wife Barbie Hsu has decided to file a petition in court against him for not fulfilling their divorce agreement.

The series of posts began earlier this week, when Wang stated that he has fulfilled his moral obligations and done his duty, and that he refused to "pay for their electric bills anymore."

In another post, he shared screenshots with expense details, saying that it was the real expenses he paid for the children and their home in Taiwan in the past year.

"But as a man, after the two of them got married, why do I have to pay the electric bills for this family? I pay the driver and the maid, and I do not owe the children's tuition and living costs. We also have joint custody, so they don't have the right to stop me from seeing the children," he wrote.

While netizens supported Wang at first, they had reservations when Wang decided to point fingers at Barbie's mother and sister Dee Hsu, accusing the latter of taking Zolpidem without prescription and accusing Dee's husband Mike of cheating on her.

Following the post, Dee responded through her agent, saying, "My husband is not a public figure and I will not respond to questions about him in the future. Thanks."

On 21 November, Barbie accused Wang of failing to honour their divorce agreement by failing to provide spousal maintenance, which she said has reached more than NTD 5 million. The court ruled that the mainland businessman's assets in Taiwan could be seized because of it.

It is noted that Barbie married Korean entertainer Koo Jun-Yup in March, four months after she and Wang ended their marriage.
