Wang Leehom releases new song about divorce after one year hiatus
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7 — Taiwanese Mandopop star Wang Leehom has released a single that was first performed during his sold out Las Vegas concert last month.
Titled One, Wang had composed the song that was written by Li Zhuoxiong and it chronicles the former's divorce journey.
This is Wang's first production after announcing he would be taking a break in 2021 following his ugly divorce from ex-wife Lee Jinglei.
According to media company Kwan's International, One became one of the highest searched songs on the Internet and many had covered it following Wang's concert held at Resorts World Las Vegas.
The release came following calls from fans to release the song after the concert.
According to 8days, Wang also sang Xiang Jian Jiu Neng Xiang Jian (Meet Whenever We Want) during the performance.
Written for his three children who live with Lee, the song is about how he misses them dearly and hopes they can meet each other when they want. His daughters Jiali and Jiana are aged eight and six while his son Jiayao is four.
After the announcement of their divorce, Lee went on social media to accuse Wang of infidelity and that he had allegedly hired sex workers.
