The night could get even better, because celebrities like Jennifer Garner, LeBron James, and Chrissy Metz will make surprise virtual or in-person appearance during select showings. Although summer 2020 isn’t going to be the big party we’d all looked forward to, that doesn’t mean it isn’t going to be one to remember. Walmart is giving families something fun to do by transforming store parking lots into drive-in movie theaters. Grab the popcorn!

The retail giant has teamed up with Tribeca Enterprises to bring the big screen (safely) back to life with the touring drive-in movie theaters. Beginning in August through October, 160 Walmart parking lots will turn into contact-free theaters. The family-friendly movie nights will include 320 showings of hit films.

The Walmart Drive-In will even feature special appearances from filmmakers and celebrities. For concessions, you can order snacks and drinks online for curbside pickup before the movie. You can also get concessions delivered right to your car!

“Summer hasn’t really felt like summer yet, and I know I hear every day, ‘Mom, I’m bored!” Janey Whiteside, chief customer officer, Walmart, said in a press release. “Through our digital means and vast footprint of stores, we’re hoping to bring some summer fun to families across the country. We know Walmart plays a role in our communities that extends far beyond getting them necessary supplies, and we see that now more than ever.”

Walmart will release more information about the drive-in movie theater tour when it gets closer to its opening. You can stay up to date here.

In addition to Walmart Drive-In, the retailer is bringing camp to your home. Starting on July 8, Camp by Walmart, which is in partnership with CAMP, a Family Experience Company, will give kids free access to 50 celebrity- and expert-led camp activities. Your Head Camp Counselor, Neil Patrick Harris, will present “Neil’s Charades” of musical Mad Libs. Drew Barrymore will take campers through a make-up tutorial; LeBron James will walk participants through mental and physical activities with his I PROMISE School educators; Idina Menzel will go all out with her singing skills; and Todd Oldham will bring the creativity with arts, crafts, and fashion through “Smarts and Crafts.” An additional 200 sessions will be added throughout the summer.

Sure, you’ll probably hear “Mom, I’m bored!” at least a few more times this summer, but at least you know that won’t be the case when you’re at family movie night or during a camp activity.
