The Los Angeles Dodgers didn't waste a moment calling themselves the 2024 world champions!

Pitcher Walker Buehler tells PEOPLE that the MLB champs — who defeated the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series on Oct. 30 — quickly changed their group chat name after winning the title.

"It is now called 2024 World Champs, I can tell you that," says Buehler, 30. "It happened pretty quickly [after the win]."

He's not certain which player changed it, but Buehler says infielder Max Muncy often manages the Dodgers' group chat. "I don't know how to explain it, but Munce has been in charge of the group chat, so my assumption is that it was Max."

Buehler also celebrated the World Series win — his second with Los Angeles, who won in 2020 —  by gifting his teammates with custom Casamigos tequila bottles.

"That's kind of my thing," Buehler tells PEOPLE. "Casamigos gave me the Cristalino bottles that were custom with the World Series logo, and [it] had a little message from me on there."

Buehler adds, "I think it's just a really cool touch for the end of the season, and hopefully, guys open them up and remember what the past couple of weeks and months have been like."

As for which of his teammates he thinks will finish the bottle first, Buehler has his money on a fellow pitcher. "After his performance in the parade, I think Jack Flaherty's got a pretty good chance," Buehler laughs.

The Dodgers hosted their championship parade on Friday, Nov. 1, where thousands of diehard fans celebrated another World Series title. "It was awesome," Buehler says of the parade.

Shohei Ohtani brought his beloved dog Decoy out for the festivities, much to the delight of Dodgers fans. "If my dog was half as famous as Decoy, he'd be out there with us." Buehler jokes.

The Dodgers star says he'll continue celebrating the win with his wife, McKenzie, and new son, Finley, whom the couple welcomed in January. The trio will fly back to Buehler's hometown in Kentucky this week — "I'm seeing Jelly Roll back home on Friday," he shares — where they'll host the fifth annual Buehler Family Foundation golf event.

"We're not really slowing down for long," Buehler jokes of his busy schedule.
