Waldorf Astoria Hotel Partly Evacuated On Report Of Man With Gun Barricaded In Room
A man barricaded himself in a room at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hotel Thursday morning, resulting in a police response that caused a partial evacuation of the premises and two major streets closed.
The Beverly Hills Police Department said they arrived at 11:15 a.m. to reports of a man with a gun on one of the floors inside the hotel. The venue is located 9850 Wilshire Blvd.

Part of the hotel was evacuated as authorities investigated what was termed an “active threat.”
Eventually, the suspect was taken into custody. No injuries were reported and no further details were immediately available on the incident.
Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards were closed to traffic during the investigation.
