From using bed slats as a wall hanger to turning bookshelves into lockers, IKEA hacks are easy and affordable ways to customize your home. They can be so inventive that when you simply flip a shelf on its side to use as bench with storage cubbies, you might start to feel like you’re the star of a home renovation show on HGTV. While most of the hacks we love come from creative bloggers, IKEA has its own DIY blog with tons of ingenious tips and tricks to transform your home.

The blog is called Livet Hemma, which translates to “life at home.” One of the most popular DIYs on the site is a folding wall, created by three IVAR wood gables and rattan. The folding wall is great for privacy and framing. You can also use the rattan screen as a bulletin board, using clips to attach photos and hang lightweight items. Another creative hack on the blog is a loose-fit headboard that matches linen sheets. To create it, all you need to do is sew a cover of linen fabric and pull it over a headboard. Want to make your plain LACK table more luxe? You can give it a glossy mosaic surface with this DIY.

Livet Hemma even features fun ideas for your backyard. When the weather starts to warm up, you can create a home theater outdoors simply by hanging a sheet between trees or on a clothing rack. The blog goes beyond furniture hacks with food inspiration, like this cold brew recipe, and holiday decorating ideas, like this Easter egg DIY that uses natural dyes.

Along with DIYs, Livet Hemma covers new IKEA products and breaks down rooms featured in IKEA catalogs. The only catch is that the website is in Swedish. However, if you open the site in Google Chrome there’s an option to easily translate it to English.
