SABAH POLLS | Blazing heat and stricter Covid-19 prevention protocols marked the start of polling at N58 Lamag and many other polling stations in 73 seats across Sabah today.

Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Radin, however, expressed confidence that all eligible voters will be able to exercise their rights at the ballot box.

"Although the process is slow, it is still moving.

"We take note that in this situation where we are faced with Covid-19, we need to practise the set standard operating procedure," Bung said when met outside SMK Bukit Garam, Kinabatangan, one of six polling stations in Lamag.

"I am confident that all eligible voters will get (to exercise) their right to vote today.

"I thank all officers on duty, from the Election Commission (EC), health officers and others working hard to ensure all voters will be able to vote," he added.
