Volunteers Serve Food to Residents in Flood Affected Areas of Chennai, India

At least four people were killed as heavy rain and flooding hit the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, local media reported on Monday, November 8.

This footage, uploaded by the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Authority (TNSDMA), shows volunteers providing locals in affected areas of Chennai with food on Tuesday morning. Residents can be seen wading through floodwater.

On Monday, the Times of India reported that four people were killed in “rain related incidents” in Tamil Nadu and that over 60 houses were damaged.
