This year's final of The Voice UK might have been pushed all the way to autumn, but finally, we have a crowned champion.
In this evening's (November 14) show, four contestants remained: Brooke Scullion (under the tutelage of Meghan Trainor), Gevanni Hutton (Team will.i.am), Jonny Brooks (Team Tom Jones) and Blessing Chitapa (Team Olly Murs), but only one could take home that record deal.
Thanks to the virtual audience's vote – a first for the format – Blessing triumphed over Jonny in the final two.
With confetti raining down onto the stage, presenter Emma Willis encouraged the 2020 winner to share her thoughts on winning.
"I've never worked so hard to try and make sure tears don't come out [of] my eyes right now, but I'm so happy!" said Blessing. "I'm so shocked, I mean it's been amazing. I don't want to cry on TV... but mum, mum, I made it!"
The singer continued: "Thank you to everyone who's voted for me, it's just been amazing. It's just been the best experience ever."
Proud as punch after his singer won for the second year running, Olly chimed in with a few words of his own.
"I'm just so proud, honestly, you've done all the hard work," he said. "I've been here watching you grow and you deserve that record deal, and I can't wait to see what you do next."
With a career in music now in the bag, Blessing took to social media after the result was broadcast to the world - check out her post below.
