For some animated movies and TV shows, producers and directors tap A-listers to bring their characters to life. Even award winning actors pick up voice acting roles, which just requires some time in the recording booth instead of hours on set in full costume. These opportunities often allow actors to play something totally against the parts they are typically cast in. For almost two decades he's been the voice of The Joker in countless animated versions that have brought the DC villain to life. In everything from Batman: The Animated Series to Justice League to a host of video games and even a bit on Robot Chicken.

Zoinks! It was just announced this week that The Mindy Project and Office star will be voicing the title character in the upcoming HBO Max animated series, Velma, based on the famed Scooby-Doo character.
