Virginia Lok hints of Jacqueline Wong's possible comeback

11 Aug – It has been more than a year since Jacqueline Wong went on hiatus following her affair with married singer Andy Hui, but according to TVB Executive Virginia Lok, she has been looking forward to discuss future projects with the actress soon.

As reported on Mingpao, the TVB Assistant General Manager who appeared at an event recently, revealed that she had previously planned to meet up with Jacqueline, but had to postpone the plan due to the pandemic.

"Everybody is not really prioritising going out on the streets now. It's better to wait for everything to subside," she said.

She also added that the two parties have been in contact via WhatsApp, but there was no mention of past events.

Asked if the company will "unfreeze" the actress now that it has been a while since the scandal, Virginia stated that it will take a while before she can answer.

"The most important thing here is to let her know that everybody makes mistakes. If there is a chance for her to come back, it will depend on the time and place," she added.

When Jacqueline was contacted about the possible comeback, the actress replied via text message, "I will share the update when there's one. Everybody's working hard to fight the pandemic right now. Thank you for your concern."
