Vincent Wong talks about challenges of doing comedy

21 Sep – Vincent Wong recently admitted that playing a comedic character on "Al Cappuccino" was one of the hardest challenges he had to go through, seeing that he had never done such a character before.

The actor, who sat down for an interview with Mingpao recently, stated that he had to master different states of his two characters in the drama with only several hours of filming a day, which meant that he spent more energy than his other co-stars.

"Actually, I really like comedies. Maybe because I am more cheeky and nonsensical in real life. But I had to play serious roles before, so I never got to show my other side," he said.

Vincent, who was praised by not only the audience for his performance but also by singer Alan Tam, who said that he was a mixture of Stephen Chow and Dayo Wong, stated that he was very happy over the positive feedbacks though would not dare to think of himself of being in the same league.

"I am still new in comedy. To have everybody's support to us is the best return," he said.

Asked if he is confident that he can win TV King again with the said role, Vincent stated that he never thought about winning again, though hopes that the show would win Best Drama.
