“The View” star Joy Behar 'traumatized' as a child after seeing penises at Coney Island

Behar revealed that, when she was 10-years-old, she had a terrifying experience at the New York City beach: "Mr. Happy would fall out."

The View cohost Joy Behar has revealed a traumatizing childhood incident that left a disturbing imprint on her as an adult.

During a Hot Topics discussion Friday about Bradley Cooper's recent revelation that he walks around his home naked, Behar recalled that she was once scarred by seeing men's penises at the beach when she was only 10.

"I never saw anything when I was a child except when [my parents would] take me to Coney Island, and these men would wear these loose drawers, and Mr. Happy would fall out," the 81-year-old comedian said. "That was like, so traumatizing to me."

Behar — who famously met her husband, Steve, at a nudist colony — also recounted going "into the bath houses" at the New York City destination, where she'd see nude women "taking baths in there," the thought of which she also grimaced at.

The panelist's memory came as the Hot Topics table spoke about personal nudity experiences, with Sara Haines admitting that she doesn't hide her body from her young children.

"I do not enjoy walking around naked," Haines said. "I'm not naked very often. I do not cover myself up immediately between my shower and my lotions when my kids come running in, because I've made a deliberate effort for them to not feel ashamed of their bodies and to remind them that it's science."

Legal expert Sunny Hostin asked Haines how much her children have seen, to which Haines replied, "They've seen anything they can see while I'm putting on my lotion. They don't look at me."

Ana Navarro summed up the exchange in fittingly hilarious fashion: "I'm just glad I made it to 52 without seeing my father's schlong or my mother's hoo-hah," she quipped. "That would put me in therapy."
