Brush fires continued to burn in Naples, Florida, on May 14, as the Collier County Sheriff’s Office warned of “another day of extreme high concern for brush fires in our area.”
Video posted online by the sheriff’s office shows a helicopter collecting water and dropping it over the fires that were burning in the area on May 13. This helicopter was once shot down during the Vietnam war, according to the sheriff’s office.
Evacuation orders and road closures were issued for parts of Collier County, Florida, on May 13 and 14 as brush fires spread to cover 5,000 acres without containment.
