VIETNAM MANDATES HEALTH DECLARATIONS ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT FOR COVID-19 CONTROL

HANOI, March 22 (Bernama) -- All passengers on domestic flights and public transport vehicles in Vietnam will be required to complete health declarations as part of the efforts aiming at early detection COVID-19 detection, Xinhua news agency quoted VNA as saying on Sunday. Vietnam's Ministry of Transport has ordered compulsory electronic health declaration forms for all passengers before boarding domestic flights and taking all means of public transport such as trains, cruise ships, and inter-provincial passenger coaches. Passengers will be instructed to complete the form via either the website or mobile apps, and are requested to inform health establishments if any passengers with symptoms are found, according to the report. As of Sunday noon, Vietnam had reported a total of 94 confirmed cases, with 17 having been discharged from the hospital after recovery. There have been no deaths in the country so far.
