New York's Bryant Park Subway Station 'Renamed' in Kobe Bryant Tribute

A New York subway station was ‘renamed’ in a tribute to late basketball star Kobe Bryant, who died with his 13-year-old daughter and seven other people in a helicopter crash on January 26.

This video, filmed on January 27, shows a sign at the 42nd St-Bryant Park subway station that had been changed to read ‘Kobe Bryant Park’.

The impromptu renaming was among many tributes to the LA Lakers legend. Others included a public mourning outside his former home ground, the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, and a mural at a market.
