New York City Workers Prepare to Paint 'Black Lives Matter' Mural by Trump Tower

Barricades were placed along Fifth Avenue near New York’s Trump Tower as workers prepared to paint a Black Lives Matter mural in Manhattan on July 9.

Reports said several other Black Lives Matter murals have been painted in New York City, including in Brooklyn and Staten Island, following anti-racism protests across the country.

President Donald Trump said the mural would be “denigrating” to Fifth Avenue, describing it as a “symbol of hate.” Credit: Glenn Schuck 1010 WINS via Storyful
