Wildfire Smoke Darkens Northern Colorado Sky

The Cameron Peak Fire — reportedly the largest wildfire in Colorado’s history — had scorched more than 167,000 acres as of Friday, October 16, fire officials said.

The blaze, which has been 56 percent contained, was burning near the community of Red Feather Lakes, reports said. A number of mandatory and voluntary evacuations were in effect for the region, local media reported.
