'Very Low' Visibility in Iowa as Blizzard Lashes Midwest

The National Weather Service (NWS) for Des Moines warned of “blizzard conditions” as many parts of Iowa were blanketed in snow on January 15.

This footage, posted on Twitter by Dickinson County Emergency Management (DCEM), shows adverse weather conditions with low visibility in Dickinson County. DCEM warned against travel as strong winds and blowing snow created dangerous driving conditions. “In some areas, visibility isn’t too bad. In others, like here, it’s still very low…and changes rapidly,” the DCEM wrote.
