Truck Towed as Heavy Snow Snarls Traffic in Austria

Traffic came to a standstill on a road in central Austria on Saturday, December 2, as a heavy snowfall disrupted travel, according to reports.

This footage was released by the volunteer fire department for Gaishorn am See, which is located in the Austrian state of Styria. The fire department said it helped to tow around 10 trucks that had become stuck on the A9 as a result of the snow, and helped to remove downed trees.

Officials said the cold weather was expected to continue in parts of Austria through Sunday, with warmer temperatures expected on Monday.
