Timelapse Shows Cameron Peak Fire in Hills Near Loveland

The Cameron Peak Fire, burning northwest of Loveland, Colorado, had grown to 203,253 acres by the early hours of October 19, and was 62 percent contained.

However, firefighters said continued dry conditions and high winds would continue to promote “rapid rates of spread” for the next few days. Precipitation was expected by the end of the week.

Larimer County officials issued mandatory evacuation orders for areas of the county on October 18 as the fire continued to spread.
