Thousands Evacuated as Wildfires Rage in Central Israel

Israeli firefighters battled multiple wildfires caused by a heat wave on May 23, Haaretz reported.

Some 3,500 people were evacuated from their homes in central Israel, the report said. Israel is experiencing a heatwave with temperatures up to 118 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the Times of Israel.
