Tahoe Region Hunkers Down as Multiple Feet of Snow Forecast

An atmospheric river storm brought more than a foot of snow to parts of the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California on Friday, March 1, footage shows, with several more feet on the way, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Footage shows snow removal on the California-Nevada state line, taken from Crystal Bay.

A blizzard warning and an avalanche warning were in effect for Crystal Bay until Sunday, according to the NWS.
