Surfers Brave Rough Swell as Cold Front Sweeps Ontario

Surfers braved cooler weather and rough swell at Crystal Beach in Fort Erie on February 28 as a cold front swept through Ontario.

Environment and Climate Change (ECCC) Weather Ontario said flash freeze warnings and special weather statements were in effect due to the sharp, blustery, cold front.

Hazards included sudden icy conditions and strong wind gusts of up to 80 km per hour (almost 50mph), it warned.
