The National Weather Service (NWS) warned that coastal areas of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland should prepare for tropical storm conditions as Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 affected the region on Friday, September 22.
Heavy rain, gusty winds, and marine hazards were expected for the Mid-Atlantic region over the “dreary weekend,” the NWS wrote in an advisory.
