Snow Falls on Amarillo

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned Amarillo residents to be prepared for low visibility and slippery roads as a heavy band of snow brought much-needed moisture to the area on Thursday morning, February 29.

Footage taken by Mike Gittinger shows the snow from his home in Amarillo on Thursday morning.

“My guess is more people will be thankful for moisture than upset about snow,” he wrote on X. “Hopefully it holds together and reaches areas that need it the most.”
