Sea Turtle Treks Towards Ocean After Release From Rehabilitation

A 370-pound sea turtle was released back into the ocean from a Florida beach on October 20 after more than two months in rehabilitation.

This footage shows the Brevard County Fire Rescue’s ocean rescue crew assisting Brevard Zoo’s staff to return Perseverance, or “Vera”, back to the sea at Lori Wilson Park on Tuesday morning. Vera is seen trekking to the water before disappearing into the waves.
