Satellite Captures Solar Flares on Sun's Surface

Satellite imagery captured solar flares erupting on the Sun on Wednesday, February 21, and Thursday, February 22, footage posted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows.

Footage posted to X by NOAA shows multiple solar flares occurring on different areas of the Sun. According to NOAA, while solar flares can affect communication systems, radar, and the Global Positioning System (GPS), the recent solar flares were not likely related to the AT&T cellular outage on Thursday.
